The Show Must Go Online: A Virtual Children’s Musical

by Jessica Peniza
Directed By Dejah Padon, Jessica Nelson, and Nicole Heinlein

A frazzled DRAMA TEACHER sends a video message to her students from her home office, announcing that their production of Brushes With Greatness: The Dental Hygiene Musical has been canceled! She tries to hang up, but accidentally leaves the camera running, as she receives a phone call from the principal who tells her: without the musical, the drama program will be shut down.

The students now have two choices, give up and lose their drama program or figure out how to continue the show online. Together they decide, The Show Must Go Online. Join the drama students in this comedy about how rehearsals and performances don’t always go as planned when a show is entirely online.

We will be embarking on a whole new adventure and rehearsing for and presenting a play completely online. We have 20 of our very talented youth presenting this story about a group of drama kids whose show has been canceled. They find out that they will lose their drama program if the show does not continue. They decide that in order to keep their drama program alive, the show must go ONLINE. Follow the characters as we watch them rehearse and perform the show, Brushes With Greatness.

This show will debut on Facebook Live and Youtube on July 11th and 12th 2020. Please check our website and Facebook Page for more information about watching the show.
