When deciding what should be our first show back, we knew we wanted to do something quintessentially American musical theater. And what is more so than Rodgers and Hammerstein?
Composer Richard Rodgers (1902-1979) and lyricist Oscar Hammerstein II (1895-1960) initiated what is globally recognized as the “golden age of musical theater” with such well known classics such as: Carousel, Oklahoma!, South Pacific, The King and I and The Sound of Music
The shows (and film versions) of Rodgers and Hammerstein productions have garnered 34 Tony Awards, 15 Academy Awards, 2 Pulitzer Prizes and 2 Grammy Awards.
Join us for a musical compilation of all of “our favorite things” sung by your favorite Maui OnStage performers! Selections from South Pacific, Oklahoma! and The Sound of Music to name a few.
TICKETS – $100 (show only) and $175 (Opening Night ONLY – show + VIP pre-show party at 62 MarcKet)
OPENING NIGHT ONLY – VIP pre-show party from 5:30pm – 7:00pm right next door at 62 MarcKet! Join us before the show for pupus and drinks made especially for the evening by 62 MarcKet’s Chef Marc and Chef Larry.
*Show length – 90 mins (no intermission/concessions)
*Ticketless audience check-in
*Digital program will be available on our website and emailed to ticket holders 3 days before the show.
*Audience members will be sat (and dismissed to 1 of 6 exit doors) by section/row to prevent lines. Please be patient as we all get used to this new system.
*Seating is socially distanced. The first 3 rows and every other row will be left empty. Our ticketing system will automatically block off 3 seats in the same row to the left and right of a group as purchases are made.
*To comply with Hawaii State and Maui County indoor mask mandate, audience members will be required to wear face masks while in the theater. No exceptions. (If you are unable or unwilling to wear a mask for the duration of the event, please let us know and we will refund your money. No questions asked.)
Maui OnStage has worked for over a year to be able to have this event. We have received special permission from the County of Maui to have this LIVE performance WITH an audience. To receive this permission, MOS had to agree to implement and follow current Maui County COVID-19 guidelines regarding cleaning, social distancing and mask wearing. We sincerely ask for your KOKUA in complying with these guidelines.
***Please be aware that by purchasing these tickets and/or entering the Maui OnStage/Historic Iao Theater facility, all individuals, including staff, performers, volunteers and patrons voluntarily assume all risks related to possible exposure to COVID-19. Patrons are required to follow all CDC, state and Maui County guidelines regarding masks and social distancing between groups/parties at all times while on premises. Patrons will not be allowed backstage or in restricted areas for any reason. No performer meet & greets following the performance. Once seated, patrons will not be allowed to move to another seat in the auditorium, except as required for accessibility accommodations. Following the end of the performance, MOS house staff will release the audience by sections/rows to assist in social distancing while exiting the theater. Patrons will not be allowed to leave their seats until released by house staff.
