Momentum Dance Maui presents their first performance of Nutcracker Sweets!

PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION –Nutcracker Sweets is a unique take on the 1892 classic The Nutcracker, originally choreographed by Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov. This special production highlights the second act of the ballet, telling the story of young Clara’s magical journey on Christmas Eve. Following a night filled with dancing, surprises, and gifts, Clara falls asleep beside her new Nutcracker doll and dreams of a fantastical world filled with dancing Snowflakes. She is led to the Land of Sweets where she is greeted by the Sugar Plum Fairy, enchanted by characters from faraway places like China, Spain, Arabia and Russia, and mesmerized by the Waltz of the Flowers and Dew Drop Fairy. After an extraordinary celebration, everyone gathers to say goodbye as Clara journeys back home.

Momentum Dance Maui – Nutcracker Sweets is being presented with special approval from the Maui County Mayor’s Office.
We have been allowed seating with a minimum of 3 feet of social distancing between parties. (This means that every row of the theater will be available, but our ticketing system will automatically put 2 empty seats to the left and right each party.
1. To provide an ID and proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test result (taken within 48 hrs prior to entry) upon check-in at the theater for those age 12 and older. *At-home tests are unable to be accepted at this time.
2. To remain seated and keep your mask on for the duration of time you are in the theater.
