Elements of Auditions with Kalani Whitford ~February 27th, March 6th, March 13th @ 9:00-12:00 $200/$100 (Live Stream Option)
Why do I need to learn how to audition? Auditioning is a fundamental skill for actors. When theatre returns, be ready! Need help picking the right material? Not sure how to shake those nerves? As someone who has been on both sides of the auditioning process for over 30 years, Kalani will help you turn in your best auditions! The workshop will cover:
-How to choose the right material for you
-How to calm your mind before an audition
-Proper audition etiquette
-Develop your cold reading skills
-How to prepare for the unexpected
Elements of Choreography with Dejah Padon ~ March 19th @ 6:00-8:00, March 20th @ 10:00-12:00, March 21st @ 2:00 – 4:00 $150/$75 (Live Stream Option)
Introduction to Choreography Workshop (3-day ) will explore the basic four Elements of Dance (Body, Energy, Space, and Time) with various exercises. Participants will develop an understanding of how movement is created and a deeper awareness of how their body language can be used to create perspective. The participant will expand his or her choreographic skills by learning a variety of choreographic devices that can be used in creating a dance composition. The participant will apply this knowledge to various movement sequence exercises, individually and with a group.
Elements of Improvisations with Kristi Scott ~ Feb. 20th @ 10:00-12:00 and February 21st @ 2:00 – 4:00 $100/$50 (Live Stream Option)
Improvisation was created by actor Stella Adler as a way to help Actors get into character and be in the moment. It has morphed into a performing style all it’s own. Free Range Comedy member Kristi Scott will help bring out the improviser in you. We will learn both long and short form. Learn to “not think” “make your partner look good” and most important “ “always say yes”. There is no wrong in improv. Being able to be in the moment and know you can be ready for anything that comes your way will a whole new level to your acting.
