    DIRECTOR: David Negaard

ALL ROLES ARE OPEN. The director is seeking actors ages 18 and up, of all ethnicities and gender identities. Characters may be played by actors whose gender identity differs from the character’s. While some characters are adolescents, all characters may be portrayed by adults of any age. Take the title seriously! This is a very physical show with fantasy violence a la Dungeons and Dragons™.

    Play Overview:
Agnes, an altogether average young woman in 1995 Ohio, is desperate to transcend her averageness, blissfully unaware of what her wish might cost. When she discovers her late sister Tilly’s Dungeons & Dragons notebook, she is plunged into a journey of self-discovery and action-packed adventure in the imaginary world that was her eccentric sister’s refuge. Love, loss, comedy, and monsters are the heart of this campaign.

This high-octane dramatic comedy brimming with homicidal fairies, nasty ogres, and ’90s pop culture is a heart-pounding homage to the geek and warrior in each of us.

    Production Notes:
This production involves stage combat with swords, axes, and staffs against monsters (including a five-headed dragon). All actors  will perform some stage combat; some tracks require more than others. All stage combat will be choreographed and well rehearsed.

When not on stage in character, actors may portray or operate monsters.

*The text of this play includes profanity, suggestive language and portrayal of gay intimacy, homophobia, and sexism. Please raise any concerns with the director David Negaard at
